One Sapphire Rule
You can only have either the Chase Sapphire Preferred or the Chase Sapphire Reserve®. You can’t have both at the same time.
48 Month Rule
You can’t get the Sapphire bonus if you received the Sapphire bonus in the last 48 months (4 years)
5/24 Rule
If you’ve opened five or more credit cards from any bank in the past 24 months, Chase will typically decline your application due to their 5/24 rule — even if you have a great credit score.

How do I product change?
You can call Chase (using the number on the back of your card) to request a product change. Approval is subject to Chase’s discretion.
What if I already have all the Chase Freedom cards?
You can have multiple Chase Freedom Unlimited cards
Should I redeem my Chase points before the product changing?
It’s not necessary. If you are product changing to any of the Chase Freedom card your points will move to the Chase Freedom card and once you get a Chase Sapphire card again you can move your points from the Chase Freedom back to the Chase Sapphire card.
What are the risks?
Chase may not approve you for the Chase Sapphire card again, and you’re stuck with just a Chase Freedom card without the ability to transfer points out to airline or hotel programs.
